Early Career Symposium – Restructuring governance

The Circle Rooms, Sheffield, 21st November 2008

Organised by the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research, Sheffield Hallam University this symposium aims to explore the key themes of: multi-level governance, shifting trends in governing strategies and alternative approaches to governance. It places particular emphasis on empirical approaches to exploring and critiquing developments in governance including critical policy analysis. Confirmed plenary speaker is Peter Wells, Professor of Public Policy Analysis and Evaluation, Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research.

Attendance is FREE and lunch will be provided. Offers of workshop papers are invited (title plus an abstract of 200 words) and should be sent to: Sioned Pearce (s.pearce@shu.ac.uk) or Will Eadson (weadson@hera.shu.ac.uk) at CRESR. These should be submitted by October the 5th 2008. Delegates will be encouraged to submit to a potential special edition of People, Policy and Place Journal.
